Ethical Values

Code of Conduct

Xen General Suppliers, code of conduct sets out the rules and values which all our employees must conform to. The code is reflective of our values and expectations, and outlines our ethical and environmental policies, to which everyone who works at Xen General Suppliers is required to adhere.
Our code of conduct details our stance on HS&E, anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, human rights, corporate responsibilities and business and humanitarian ethics.

Xen General Suppliers is committed to providing a working environment in which employees are able to realise their full potential and contribute to business success irrespective of his or her gender, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or racial origin, marital status, sexual orientation, religion or disability, ensuring that the provisions of equality are strictly adhered to. This is a key employment value to which all employees are expected to give their support.

In order to create conditions in which this goal can be realized, Xen General Suppliers is committed to identifying and eliminating discriminatory practices, procedures, and attitudes throughout the organisation. Xen General Suppliers expects employees to support this commitment and to assist in its realization in all possible ways.

Specifically, Xen General Suppliers aims to ensure that no employee or job applicant is discriminated against, either directly or indirectly, on the grounds of gender, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or racial origins, marital status, religion or disability.

Equal opportunities practice is developing constantly as social attitudes and legislation change. Xen General Suppliers will keep its policies under review and will implement changes where these could improve equality of opportunity. This commitment applies to all Xen General Enterprise’s employment policies and procedures, not just those specifically connected with equal opportunity.

Our procurement & supplies team aim at achieving excellence in service, consistency in quality standards and access to innovation, and at increasing value for Xen General Suppliers. Equally, we are committed to engaging and workings with our suppliers to continuously raise the sustainability standards in our supply chain and to ensure the rights of workers are respected.

We believe we should actively drive social, economic and environmental improvements in our supply chain, ultimately helping to improve society at large. We recognize that the long term sustainable development of our suppliers is critical to our joint success, and that our supply chain partners share many of the same risks and opportunities as we do.
By working with our suppliers and their communities, we believe we can address those risks and develop shared opportunities to the benefit of all. We are committed to developing long term relationships with our suppliers, and actively select and favour those who share our values and sustainability commitments.
In Procurement, we believe we have a key role to play to accelerate growth and social development in our supply chain; reduce carbon and waste across the value chain to deliver financial and environmental value; and encourage responsible, sustainable use of land for our brewing crops. This is underpinned by demanding core standards on issues such as human rights and labour standards and transparency and ethics.

It is well documented that some of the world’s locations are perceived as presenting a high business risk when it comes to levels of bribery and corruption.
Xen General Enterprise’s code of conduct aims to prevent this illegal and immoral activity in its workforce by insisting that all employees carry out anti-bribery and corruption risk assessments on parties with whom we do business, as well as laying down a list of rules and regulations with which all parties are required to conform.
Should suspicions arise that our bribery and corruption policies are being abused or ignored, a prompt and full investigation into the offending parties will be launched.

All employees are made aware of our key guiding principles which include our support of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, our commitment to sustainable procurement, our responsibility towards the environment and our compliance and ethics policy.

At Xen General Suppliers we are entirely committed to safe-guarding to the best of our ability all aspects of the environment which could be affected by any activities we undertake, and promoting by example and instruction a positive attitude to environmental compliance with its legal obligations in environmental matters, but will encourage proactive attitudes in anticipating problems, and in seeking out and adopting the very best solutions wherever practical.

Xen General Suppliers operates in a number of fields, each of which carries its own environmental risks and opportunities. Imaginative and vigilant awareness of these factors must be developed by all management, who will ensure that assessment of the particular environmental risks inherent in their areas of work are given priority in their short and long term planning.

We promote a positive attitude on environmental issues to our employees, sub-contractors and any third parties with whom we do business.
Not only do we comply with the legal obligations across all environmental matters relating to our industry, but we also do our utmost to encourage proactive attitudes, to anticipate any issues before they arise and to adopt the most environmentally-friendly solutions wherever we can.
Protection of our environment is the responsibility of everyone throughout the company. The importance of this declaration of policy will be stressed to all employees, while all sub-contractors will be required to confirm their compliance.
